On December 21, 2013,the 4-day “China Shipping PMP training” and “Successful Project Management Case Sharing”for China Shipping was successfully hostedby eCOM Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., LTD. The event was attended by 24 project managers, IT information department staff, senior and medium management staff from China Shipping.
The training lecturersincluded: Bryce Macdonald(B2B expertfrom eCOM HK), who has deep domain knowledge for global projects, David Wong(from eCOM HK), who has advanced foreign management concepts, Zhu Yan (Judy Zhu, from eCOM Shanghai), who has more than 10 years industry experience in similar projects, and senior technical adviser—Zheng Yubei(Eric Zheng, from eCOM Shanghai).
Eric Zheng, with many years of industryexperience and project management experience, introduced the theory of project management of the “five process groups, nine knowledge areas, input and output tools”, and other advanced knowledge. Meanwhile, he combined with his earlier case experience of Cosco, Sinotrans, aiming at the problems in eachproject, so that he could let the members know how to make the project management as correct and effective as possible.
As eCOM’s Technical Director, Bryce Macdonald he has rich project management experiences in China and across the world. During thetraining session, he shared his experience of constructing the solution architectures for numerousshipping companiesthroughout theyears, such as Korea's Hanjin shipping, Yang Ming shipping, etc.
eCOM’sSenior industry consultant—Judy Zhu then shared the China domestic shipping businesses and technical architectures, such as Sinotrans. Given her many years in the local China shipping industry, she was recognized by all participants due to her many interactions with each of them through previous engagements.
In addition, David Wong, from eCOM(HK), explained the internationally advanced project management concepts, and shared many successful cases in Hong Kong. He expounded the importance of project management to the company’s key forsuccessful projects.
Through this training, China Shipping hasimproved itsawareness towards proper and soundproject management methodologies in its project activities. This creates significant value forChinaShipping toeffectively deal with complex problems in later project implementations and achieve higher operation efficiencies in the future.
